- Add a Version badges section with markdown and RST examples
- Explain the in-place CalVer swap that keeps a badge URL current
- Replace the "replaces the next line" wording with the real two-branch behaviour

- Remove ghcr.io/catthehacker/ubuntu:act-22.04 from the README and setup docs
- Rely on the runner's default image instead of an explicit container override
- Bump actions/checkout v4 -> v5 in docker.yaml and how-to-setup.md
